Well I can finally bog about my sockapalooza pal. I have been hanging on not saying anything about my plans for what feels like ages because I have been waiting for the yarn to arrive but it is finally here!
My pal said that she liked pink - well it is certainly that
This photo is actually quite muted compared to the wool in real life. It is much more Barbie pink in reality. I just hope when she said she liked pink she wasn't thinking pastel :-)
I picked it up from an American seller on E-bay she has some lovely colours - though be warned they are brighter than they look on the screen!
I haven't quite decided on a pattern yet. My pal said she quite fancied lace - which is great but I can't decide which one to knit. At the moment I am hovering between Falling Leaves from Knitty, Elfin socks by Anna Bell or (if it ever gets here) the Embossed leaves pattern in
Interweaves or possible Friday Harbour socks from socks on the Road - Oh dear the possibilities are endless!
Which ever one I decide on I know I will enjoy knitting them because I love knitting lace. I just have to finish re knitting DH's sock to free up the needles and finish the Magknits submssion before I start anything else.
Time to get knitting :-)

Wow ... lucky sock pal! The yarn is sooooo yummy beautiful!

I thoroughly recommend the Embossed leaves pattern. It is very simple to pick up and looks so effective. It's a shame that the Interweave magazine takes so long to get across the Atlantic.
