From Yarn to Needles to Feet

Just before Christmas you may remember that I purchased this from Tiffany at Princess Knits

Wedding_011_1 Add to it a set of Clover 2.5mm 5" Dp's

The Jaywalker Sock Pattern

A few hours pleasurable knitting

and....

Jaywalkers_2_1 Behold!

Jaywalkers II

I made these a bit shorter than the pattern called for as I prefer my socks short, and if I make another pair I think I would cast on less stitches. These are just a little bit loose. I love this pattern! It looks so cool for so little effort, it is just one step up from stocking stitch and can easily be worked on while reading or watching the tele( or both as is usual in my house).

I'm still working on the pirate scarf - it has reached the "I'm knitting frantically but it doesn't seem to grow" stage and I have nearly finished the first of DH's socks.

I have finally cast on for the Standing on the Shadow of Love sock from Six sock knitalong and I am trying to decide what to knit next ( the list is far from short)

I can't make up my mind whether to knit one of the many scarf or shawl patterns that I want to knit or if I should cast on for one of the myriad of patterns that are running around my head clamouring to be created.

Perhaps I should just keep going on that blasted scarf and get it out the way before I tuck it in a corner and try and pretend it doesn't exist :-)

Wow!! I wasn't expecting to have missed this much - it's only been a couple of days. Love Rogue - gorgeous color! Love the jaywalkers - want a pair for myself! And those mouse mittens are well - the cutest things I've ever seen. Great job J! :-)

The socks look awesome!! Love the colors.

Beautiful socks! I love the colors. I will probably make mine shorter too as I don't like long cuffs on my socks.

Your jaywalkers turned out freakin' awesome!!! I love how the colours came out! You never know how the colourway turns out until they are knitted up. Thanks for sharing. I swear, when I get a minute I will get a gallery up and going - send me a pic please :D

Fabulous Jaywalkers! I love the pattern for the exact reasons you listed - the visual impact belies its simplicity.

I am evidently the last knitter on the face of the earth who hasn't made some Jaywalkers! I will remedy that this weekend; I have a pair to make for my daughter, and she'd like that pattern.
By the way, I love the yarn you made yours from, too.
